Projects

The main content of the SOS Children’s Villages Association involves running the villages as well as other facilities and programmes, in which expert care and support is provided to abandoned children and children at risk who cannot grow up in their own families for various reasons. These activities, however, only deal with the consequences of the breakdown of the original family, which can be caused for diverse reasons. Consequently, the SOS Children’s Villages Association also implements other programmes which respond to negative factors that can significantly contribute to children being threatened with the loss of parental care. Special attention is also devoted to protecting children’s rights and the situation of children who leave various forms of substitute care to live independently.
